These Real Estate commercials are suggesting that homeowners are dumb? that they do not have the intelligence to market their own homes to sell themselves. It’s called fear-mongering! I think the agents & brokers are getting nervous & private sellers are starting to touch a nerve! rightly so! & if I am wrong why are these brokers spending all this money on ads, commercials even billboards! to put a spin on selling private! they know the private sellers are on to something! if you drive by any real estate office in Canada, see what kind of car they are driving? & who’s making all the money off the backs of every homeowner & you will open your eyes pretty quick! Ask any agent out there & they will tell you most home buyers always check the Internet first!

In the summer of 1990, Americans saw a rash of anti-Japanese commercials on their local televisions(same as these Realtor ads)that featured everything from stern faced Samurai fighters to underhanded mocking of the Japanese physique(realtors mocking private sellers in the bathrobes to show the home?) Many of the ads were paid for by car dealers(real estate companies)selling American cars who were seeing their business hammered by foreign based competition(BTO).The car dealers like realtors apparently believed they could strike a chord with domestic buyers by playing up the racial differences?(mocking private sellers)! They were wrong! In 1990 Detroit carmakers had 65% of the car market now it’s only 50%! So,my point these Realtor’s TV commercials will backfire! People will sense the panick from realtors with private sellers selling their own homes with confidence! Good Luck, to keeping your hard earn dollars!
